Find Your Passion. Fill Your Life. Make Money
Find Your Passion. Fill Your Life. Make Money
3rd Degree Black Belt
Woman’s Self Defense Expert
Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work. – Aristotle
Find your Passion. Fill your Life. Make Money. I used this slogan when I traveled around the country inspiring and motivating people to make $100 – $300+ a day selling frozen meat door to door. The money always got people excited. The job itself had about a 95% turnover rate.
I believe most people secretly have a deep desire to become a Black Belt and to become their own boss. However, industry statistics show it takes 1000 white belts to develop 1 black belt. It takes 10,000 white belts to create 1 Instructor.
The phone would ring off the hook for people looking for the cash. My job was to get them excited, hired and trained. Much like joining the army , we were always recruiting and up selling the benefits and downplaying the “war” or reality. The truth is I had people making over $500 a day. The other truth is it was tough to make the trenches glamorous.
Back then it was fun to give people hope and role play. Today I love to do the same thing. They all wanted the money. Not so many wanted to knock 200 doors a day, talk to 100 people, show the product 20-30 and make 5-10 sales to earn the money in 114 degree Arizona summers. Although some times uncomfortable and embarrassing, the formula was proven. It required discipline and commitment, much like becoming a Black Belt.
Great motivational speeches and sports analogies only carry people so far. Passion has to come from the inside. Just as fire feeds fire, your passion for life intensifies when you are fulfilling your purpose.
Never want to work another day in your life? Make sure your work is fulfilling your passion. If not, you are simply exchanging your life for money. What is your price? Success comes from a burning desire inside to be the best you can be. Black Belt is about reaching your greatest potential. Leadership gurus Tony Robbins and Brian Tracy largely attribute their current success to their previous martial arts training. Black Belt Instructors help other people to reach their greatest potential. There is no more rewarding path than creating leaders.
